Father of abducted Dapchi student, Leah Sharibu, has said he was not aware his daughter had been killed by militant Habib group which vowed to use her as a slave. He told newsmen on phone that the Federal Government which is officially negotiating the release of his daughter was yet to inform him about the development. The federal government has denied viral reports that abducted Dapchi school girl, Leah Sharibu, has died in captivity. The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, at a press briefing in Ilorin, Kwara State, has the reports as absolute fake news. The Presidency says it is aware of an audio recording in which Leah Sharibu, the remaining Dapchi schoolgirl held captive by a faction of the Boko Haram, appeals to President Muhammadu Buhari to help free her. Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Garba Shehu, revealed this via his Twitter handle on Monday after the recording was exclusively published by online media organisation, TheCable.
