FIFA Gives Nigeria Final Deadline Or Face Suspension From International Competitions

The World football governing body, FIFA, has given Nigeria final deadline to avoid international suspensions due to the interference in the Nigeria Football Federation. In a letter issued on Tuesday, FIFA said that the Nigerian soccer federation headquarters must be handed back to the elected leadership by Monday, August 20, 2018 or the country will be suspended from international competitions. This comes after the Federal Government of Nigeria ordered the current board of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, to vacate their office in respect to a ruling by the Supreme Court.
